Spring-energised seals are spring-energised u-cups that use a variety of sheath profiles, spring types and materials in rod and piston, face and rotary seal configurations. These seals are used when elastomeric seals cannot meet temperature range, chemical resistance or friction requirements.
Spring-loaded seals consist of a variety of sheath profiles and spring types. Spring-loaded seals enable compensation of the sealing effect under different pressure conditions by means of a spring-loaded actuator. When the media pressure is too low to fully actuate the lip, the spring actuates the seal and provides the full load required to seal.
